Frequently asked questions

What happens after we inquire?

After you inquire about your wedding day, I will reach out to you via email and introduce myself. I may have some clarification questions. I will send a contract and collect a retainer to hold the date and time. We can also get on a consult call to chat about your session in more detail.

When will we get our pictures back?

I deliver full edited wedding galleries within 6 weeks of your wedding date (up to 8 weeks during peak wedding seasons). A sneak peek gallery will be delivered to you within 1 week of your wedding date.

How do we receive the images?

Edited images will be uploaded to an online gallery which can be shared with friends & family. The gallery will be live for 60 days.

How many pictures will we receive?

8-hour wedding days receive a minimum of 400 edited photos.

What’s the best time to have our engagement session?

I recommend booking your engagement session at least 6-months before your wedding date so you can use the images for invites. I am partial to “golden hour” light when it is applicable. It is the time of day where the sun is about 2 hours from setting. It is called golden hour because the light is warm and soft, making for very flattering images!

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

We can embrace it! I definitely recommend talking with your venue and wedding planner in advance to make a backup plan in place for an outdoor ceremony. For wedding-day portraits of you and your spouse, family, and wedding party, we can research a good indoor location or covered outdoor location.

What if I am shy in front of the camera?

I am too! Seriously… That is why I stay BEHIND the camera. I am empathetic to the feelings that come from being in front of the camera. I have an assortment of prompts to get us moving and grooving. This is what leads to that authentic emotion, and in turn, the most cherished photos!

What if we don’t want our photos public?

Not a problem at all! It is required that you state this before signing the contract - as the contract will have you sign that the images can be used publicly. Client photo galleries used publicly for marketing are typically priced lower than private galleries.

Do you help create wedding-day timelines?

Yes! With over 10 years of wedding photography experience, I feel confident to guide you through timeline creation. We will come up with a photo-specific timeline that considered your must-have photos. I am not a planner and highly recommend you work with a planner or day-of coordinator to take the pressure off of you!
